Hey Paul!

That could work too.

Okay. I'll see what happens when I try booting up the flashdisk on the new
system and hopefully I can use that to chroot into the barebones sata partition
and finish the bootstrapping. If that works then I'll start taking notes how I
make that bootable from the flashdisk and use that as a basis for testing your
idea. Offhand I think there will be something useful to gleam from this
experience.

Good plan. I've been doing that with ttylinux right from the get-go and
honestly can say that is the best method. It could stand some spiffing up
though in terms of helpful install/configuration scripts wrt on-the-fly
operations. I can see this sort of thing coming in handy.

I haven't been following 2.4 kernels since sometime last year. All the systems
here are 2.6 based at the moment.

I am in no rush. How about you? We'll get there, wherever 'there' really is.

PR> Yeah, bootstrapping is a really interesting process.

Definetly resource hungry. Well worth it in the end ... if it works that is.

We'll have to check that out soon. I try and avoid buying things over the
internet if I can get whatever locally but I will check your site out soon.

Right. Same with Sun.

Heh, heh. Times have changed that is for sure.

Life is good,
Maurice
