Yea i agree with you. It's a non issue when you think about it. 
You would only need a Win bood disk with fdisk on it then fdisk /mbr
would take you back to booting Windows and anyone that has a 
multiboot setup can recover from there.

Alan hasn't got that problem so he's lucky. It got me thinking though.
Even if that bloke has a very old setup all systems would have to be 
minimalist. This is born out by him using Slackware to cram his
Linux system on. Slackware is the favorite flavour of Linux 
installation for tiny dedicated servers.

He would be better of buying a second hand computer these days as 
probably the one he's on would have some limitations hardware wise.

I know what you mean.;) I never throw away my old machines unless
they are beyond reasonable repair so i have accumulated a few.
I use them as client/server storage devices. When anyone visits me 
they inevitably ask what i do with them all. I haven't yet found a 
reasonable reply. :)
