Dont settle for the minimums..

The VM's I set up were 20 to 30gb's, I had the space to spare and I had the
room to grow.

The dynamic emulated hdd's apparently dont present the proper drive geometry to
qparted.

It may be how the linux partitioners expect to find things and that the fdisks
for DOS/WIN are more forgiving or rather less demanding.

Besides creating a fixed disk, the above caveats aside, gives you a "set VM" to
work with.

Only if you expose ISS to the internet.

Any web server introduces risks to the machine running it, granted ISS has its
own liabilities that are more special than most, but the bad guys cant exploit
something they cant get at.

The console in which you create, setup, configure and run VM's from is a
network application.. When you fire it up, you direct it to logon to a host,
which will allow you to create or open a VM.

If you had VMWARE setup on 3 machines ...

On machine B you had a knoppix VM installed.

You could start knoppix on machine B from machine A or C, by using the console
to log into machine B.. You can also log into the VM by logging into the
console from machine B using localhost. Conversely you can be logged into the
same VM from all 3 machines at the same time..

No need for VNC or SSH.
