Yes, it seems that most if not all *nix users have avoided PPP
for one reason or another. :-)

I recall how difficult it was to add manpages and info
functionality to a mini-linux that had busybox in place of the
real executables. It took me awhile to get the real binaries
and set the whole thing up. 

It's a bit too late for ttylinux but I would suggest that there
are advantages to keeping the generic filenames and generic
directory structures so that standard *nix tutorials have a
point or point(s) of reference for newbs like myself to grasp
the whats and the wherefores. 

Inclusion of a _working_ PPP dialup wouldn't hurt since half
the population of the USA continues to use dialup connections
to the internet. 

Just a suggestion.
