I had a few 19" ones in the past and none of them survived as long as the
Commodore.

I have a 6" one of those DC powered for emergency purposes, with a AM/FM
reciever, but haven't used it much.  Last week it saw some some action.  I'd
like to upgrade the DC here with things like that in mind and already have some
of it taken care of but it is expensive and have been doing it piecemeal.  A
couple decent batteries are what is needed now as well as a few odds and ends
so that I can take some of the stuff I am working on off the grid.

Understood.  Most times it is cheaper just to buy new then repair.

Sounds good.  I haven't had to deal with schools for quite some time now so I
really don't know much about the local ones here.  From my perspective they
seem to be the standard Canadian type schools just like the ones when I had
kids to worry about.  They seem fine.
