Most floppies I have are copied to CD's. For some it was already too late by
then.

Hm, I might have seen some notes about that. And after that ncurses should
be compiled again with gpm support?

Most of these problems I have are due to the fact that the first bunch of
packages were build under Gentoo against the libs of Gentoo. I just found
another package that needs to be recompiled.
