Twisting his words.

No one has been able to specify this software, so far this is a myth.

Software does not conform to FTS standards only. The FTS conforms to
software. As Rob (not Bob) Swindell is a member of the FTSC, I would think
he works with both goals in mind.

BTW, the more I think about it, the more I recall the problem being that
originally Synchronet did not incorporate MSGID and _that_ is what was
causing a problem somewhere. I may have that conversation in the archives.
But the more I think on it, the more I believe that is that problem that
has been misspoken here.

The reason I say this is I seem to recall Rob Swindell saying something
about MSGID's were not _mandatory_ in any FTS document, but were suggested.

[Rob, does this ring a bell?]

You have heard the rantings of one person so far. Maybe two. That does not
support your claim. I have had zero issues with Synchronet and Linux. At
least not until Red Hat messed with glibc to "fix" the broken threads
problem.

My advice would be never take advice from someone that makes statements that
are unfounded and not based on any actual facts or case studies.

Er, what commercial interest do you refer to, Paul. Synchronet is GPL'd and
Rob makes no money from it.

Robert
