From what I am seeing in relation to Windows 7 and other non-win based systems,
there may be more than what you face, scowl.  I have a very close friend who
lives here in the USA who works for a huge German based company that uses
Windows.  Interestingly, they are still 'stuck' on Windows Server 2003 for
their Email use.  With the 'compatibility' changes just recently enforced by
MS, *ALL* his Email to the outside world *MUST* use WINMAIL.DAT for anything
even packaged as a .ZIP or .JPG - whatever - file.  Until a couple weeks ago,
from the company,with full permission and sanctions, even though I have no way
of working with any form of OS/2 Email that I know about, even SeaMonkey's
thunderous bird, he could still actually send me a plain text Email message
with an actual .ZIP or .JPG file attached.  Which I could process with Post
Road Mailer, PMMail, TBird, as needed.

An attachment was the real thing, which any decent Email product could handle
in OS/2. MAC, even maybe DOS...

Now everything sent in Winmail *HAS* to be packaged in a WINMAIL.DAT part of
the message.  Which as far as I can tell cannot be processed by other than a
Windows based operating system.  We don't know how to handle this mess.

Worse, if you look at the Seamonkey newsgroups, you'll note that also suddenly
with Windows 7, there are large now surfacing issues where although you can
still use the Seamonkey browser in Windows 7, this same Email win-or-else issue
is apparently surfacing in the just win-I-useu group as well!  As, chuckle, the
Mac crew just trumped the Win crew stock market value as the biggest wolf on
the block this week.

Looks like there also may not be a seventh heavan for anyone looking through a
window these days either?
