Yup & myself & a mate have made it easy to go between the swt & swing worlds
with:

http://swingwt.sourceforge.net/

Basically do your building etc in swing & then by simply renaming your imports
from javax.swing to swingwt you have a swt gui. you can even use it to make
/port proper eclipse plugins.

At the time there were few swt gui builders & lots of peopel know/knew swing so
we thought we'd make it easy. It has had odd side effects such as :

http://swingwt.sourceforge.net/faq.php

" If you are a Win32 developer, the ThisIsCool MingW GCJ project supplies you a
complete GCJ toolchain for Windows using SwingWT as the AWT/Swing
implementation - just compile your code with that and go!

SwingWT now includes a classloader (borrowed from the WebOnSwing project at
http://webonswing.sf.net ) which will dynamically switch Swing for SwingWT on
existing programs. See the swingwtbootstrap and
linux_replaceswing_runswingdemo.sh scripts in the bin directory for a working
example with a swing demo that uses SwingWT at runtime."

So you can either use an ant build script to emit:

Swing, SWT, compiled to native for linux & windows (& any other platform GCJ
supports) or you can do it at runtime via the web on swing thingy.

& it's free.....

e.g.

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/devel/swingwt-demo
