   Personally, I think the NDR issue is noise.  I get NDRs to one of my =
email addresses that is used as a forged from address from spammers.  It =
simply isn't that interesting.  It does bother me that my email is = forged. 
This one example is an msn.com domain address so I benefit if = sender-id info
is published by msn.com.  The benefit though is = equivalent to mike's benefit
from his doing so.  In fact, mike's benefit = is probably greater since he will
care about all email to his domain = while I care only about the one msn.com
address.

  True. I was thinking more of the motivation. Certainly I would be in
  big trouble from back-scatter if my email address were used by
  spammers as a spoofed source to millions of AOL and other users (if
  their mail servers didn't use SPF). So it potentially has value to me.

  A big company, however, is much more likely to be used for a spoofed
  sender - particularly for phishing or other reputation-damaging junk
  messages. My guess is that the motivation for Sender ID is for these
  benefits to big companies.
