There was no doubt where Microsoft was going with IE4 and after, and it was a
pretty good idea.  I was only saying the first iteration of IE4 was pretty
rough on some of us out here.

stable public APIs like other platform components so that ISVs and other
Windows components can use the functionality.  A great many do.  It was so
clearly a good idea that many years latter the mozilla folks made an effort to
