It amazes me to read Vern talk about how he owns the airwaves. Like that
ownership gives him the right to use any and all frequencies for whatever he
feels like. Let him pick up a police radio and start using for conversation
between him and his wife. ;-)

EH>> Cool. Let me know what the url is when you're done with it.

Great. Hope you get the job.

Heh heh... I know about RFI. I have S9 noise on 80/75 meters. It goes down as I
go up in freqency until it's almost gone on 15, 12, and 10 meters. I haven't
found exactly where it's all coming from, but I suspect a noisy pole pig across
the street.

Sounds good. RFI is not your friend. :-)

SD> The Azden is actually easier than my Yaesu to program. The Yaesu has

Yeah, the newer big brand name radios can be a pain to program. I usually get
the cloning software and cables for any new radio I get. It makes programming a
snap.

EH>> Anyway, maybe one of these days we'll hear each other on the air.

SD> I'm hoping so. The CW part is giving me a bit o' trouble, but it's

I found that it helps if you can come up with a word or phrase to say in rythum
with the different characters. The 5 wpm test is easy. It isn't usually given
using the farnsworth method. The character speed and word speed are the same.
In fact, it was so slow when I took the test that it almost tripped me up. ;-)

Despite my nervousness, I got 86% good copy. The test was over before I
realized it.

SD> Hey, I've got an idea. I have this little program that translates text

ROFL!

There ya go.

That's elitist "sheep." ;-)
