The Lone Ranger was dealing with people who, 98% of the time, lived by the same
set of rules he did.  But, most importantly, the Lone Ranger is a fairy tale. 
Its an allegory.

We can illustrate our ideals by just living our lives and making sure our
country continues to function as it was designed.  We don't have to go overseas
to do that.  People all over the world beat a path to our door wanting our
culture and wanting a piece of the American dream.

But when it comes to terrorists, the ONLY thing they understand is brute force
- constant, unrelenting, merciless, no quarter kick-em-in-the-nuts force. 
That's how their religion is constructed at its core.  They don't respect
people who are nice to them.  They view compassion as a weakness, and they've
proven that attitude a thousand times over.  You want to win the war against
the muslim terrorists?  Then you become a medieval warrior just like he is, and
eradicate him, because that is the only thing he respects.

You mark my words, Alan, because as long as there is one mullah alive to preach
this crap, someday this religion will come back to bite us, because it is OUR
nature to fight until we think we've won a fair peace and then quit.  Not
eradicating Islam will be a huge mistake.
