You don't get it, do you, Bob?  The right of free speech is NOT LICENSE to do
or say whatever you damn well please and try to cover it under the aegis of
free speech.  The REALITY of today's world is that whenever you have a
political gathering (regardless of who is running or what they are
representing) some nutcase who has a grudge is going to be in the crowd and
presents a potential threat to that candidate - and that goes double for hotly
contested races such as the current one for president.  

That reality REQUIRES that adequate security measures be taken to protect the
candidates so that everybody else has the opportunity to express THEIR freedom
of speech by voting for a live set of candidates.

If that means some bonehead dressed in a T-shirt that is only going to stir up
the crowd gets detained, tough shit.  Get over it.  All it takes is one jerk
like that to start a diversion so a sniper or other terrorist can do his work.

Then where the hell is your 1st Amendment right, Bob?  I'll tell you - its just
been cancelled by some fuck with a rifle, or a bomb, or a chemical/biological
agent.
