You're either too goddamn stupid to figure it out for yourself, or you're
deliberately acting as if you are.  Which is it?

1.  I never said they passed out medals like popcorn, although a lot of people
think that happens on occassion.

2.  It is a fact that medal citations are normally created using the after
action reports that are routinely filed.  Under normal circumstances those
action reports are not questioned unless somebody raises a red flag.  SOME
medals, most notably the Medal of Honor, require that investigations be done to
verify that those action reports are accurate and truthful.

3.  It is extremely unusual for citations to be rewritten after the fact
(especially years after) unless the recipient requests it to correct
misspellings or other such errors.  One such revision is unusual enough, but
twice after the fact separated by years in each case?  

4.  Kerry didn't receive his Honorable Discharge papers until severals year
AFTER he was discharged, and after his active reserve time was over.  That is
another EXTREMELY unusual occurence.  Bush got his HD immediately like anybody
else.

5.  You can make all the innuendos you want to, but I don't have any problems
with the system the military uses to award medals, or process discharges.  99%
of the time it works just fine and is quite accurate.  Mistakes do happen, as
in any complex system, and unscrupulous people do manipulate the system at
times for their own benefit.  The only veracity I'm questioning is Kerry's, and
that of the people who support him at all costs, regardless of the facts.

Kind of like you, sport.
