Oh, mitigated, surely. 

I think George honistly believes that his faith is a/the
basis of hope for eventual success in Iraq, and by extention 
Peace in the Middle East.

It could happen. He's coming to grips with errors made,
has three more years...

...and by extension a disaster for the American people...

Not yet near, I think...edging in that direction, though
Imbalanced trade
General Motors no longer #1 in the world
Smart cars? You have to import them...

All this though, can/must/will change.

... a Google search for "miserable failure."

Whic proves or even indicates exactly nothing:
it neither reflects voting records or public approval
now begining to rise (albeit slowly :-). 


-> To be sure, Bush's remaining supporters
-> still bend over backwards trying to find positives amidst the doom and
-> gloom...

Yep. Else what's a heaven for? (True also of this
non-supporter of current admininsreations policies.)
(AKA liberal. :-)



 Most recently they have been touting the fact that there was a
-> democratic election in Iraq earlier this month, but any named
-> accomplishment seems to come with a long string of qualifiers, not to
-> mention an exorbitant price tag.

This is true.

The alternative is civil war - chaos.

-> Meanwhile, the list of Bush-related failures is long and growing every
day.

2nd terms are like that :-|


-> Consider the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, the ongoing fallout
-> from the Abu Ghraib/torture scandal, the CIA leak probe, Harriet Miers'
-> Supreme Court nomination, the President's plan for Social Security, and
the
-> Tom DeLay scandal...

Well, yeah, but other than THAT...

...the bright side is, if you owned some energy stocks, you are now awash
in money!


 More recently we have seen the implementation of
-> Medicare's hopelessly complex prescription drug plan...

This is due to a tendency not to look around (and northward)
(ooops! Shame! They're a bunch of socialists!)

, a
-> dollars-for-positive press in Iraq scandal...

"It's they way it's DONE over there. You want us to set
an example or something?"


-> Act, and a ridiculous proposal designed to address America's immigration
-> problem...

"Them damn illegals are necessary!"


, one that involves building a big wall, much like the one that
-> surrounds the Green Zone in Baghdad.

Dang good idee! We need a fence around the whole durn country
...let the rest  of the  world stew in their own juices...
we got plenty here!



 The President has even admitted
-> authorizing a very un-American, and likely illegal, program that allows
for
-> spying on American citizens without a search warrant.

If the Pesident does it, it isn't illegal. A starement often cited
as an indication of effrontery, but likly true,


 
-> Of course, this list is only the tip of the iceberg. Let's not forget

-> "big picture" problems like the skyrocketing national debt, the
-> ever-increasing trade deficit, our high gasoline prices, the
-> Administration's failure to even acknowledge the problem of global
warming,
-> not to mention the fact that anti-U.S. sentiment is at an all-time high.

Can any large country be properly governned in the 21st Century?

Texas has the right to break into five different parts...
Canada may split...the the United State will be neighbors to
a distainful-of-Americans,  Soverign, French-speaking nation.

I don't think Americans have any idea of how much they don't want that.

On the whole, in the Big Picture,

Life Is Good.
