To many Germans, we were the aggressors.  Not the Germans.

The same thing with many Japanese, who view Americans as having
committed acts of genocide, having nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Before and during WWII most Germans were Nazis.  Including the
man who is now Pope.  Does that mean that most Germans approved
of Nazism and its mad policy of exterminating Jews, blacks, and
others?  Of course not!

Before and during WWII most Japanese worshipped Emperor Hirohito
as a god, and supported the war effort in the Pacific.  Does that
mean that most Japanese approved of the genocidal acts committed
by Japanese military forces, with its policy of exterminating
whites?  Of course not!

The same thing with Iran.  Most Iranians are Muslim, dearly love
their country, and will defend it to the last man, woman and child.
Does that mean that most Iranians approve of the mad mullahs who
run their country?  Of course not!

By what right do we have to nuke Tehran, thus committing an act
of genocide against an entire people?  We were wrong to have nuked
Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the war having already been won against
the Empire of Japan.  We would be just as wrong today if we were
to do the same against any other people.
