It is really sad to see you continually make a fool of yourself this
way.  Here, you are not distorting the facts YOURSELF, but you are
relying on a grossly non-credible person to do the distorting for you.

Let's start with the most obvious part.  What was he convicted of?

Charge: Violation of the Laws and Customs of War: 1. Did willfully and
unlawfully mistreat and torture PWs. 2. Did unlawfully take and convert
to his own use Red Cross packages and supplies intended for PWs.

Specifications:beating using hands, fists, club; kicking; water torture;
burning using cigarettes; strapping on a stretcher head downward

Verdict: 15 years CHL"

You blindly follow Kennedy in claiming that "water torture" was all that
he was convicted of.  Now that you know the facts, I'm sure you will
retract you untruthful claim.

Next, let's pick out that one item of "water torture" from the list.
You and Teddy Kennedy want people to believe that this WW II "water
torture" involved using "small amounts of water" and inducing "gasping
for air."  On what basis in the world do you base THAT conclusion?

Let me help you here. Bob, by suggesting that you read Yuki Tanaka's
book "Hidden Horrors" to learn more of the Japanese war crimes that were
committed.  "Water torture" is defined on pages 26-27.  It involved
forcing "the victim to inhale huge amounts of water."  When the stomach
"was full to bursting" the torturer would "jump on him from the top of a
chair."  Another variation of the "water torture" involved starving the
victim for several days, forcing a large amount of uncooked rice down
his throat, and then putting a hose down his throat and forcing him to
swallow a large amount of water.  The pain was described as
"excruciating," and was accompanied by damage of internal organs as the
rice expanded.

Not graphic enough for you?  Imagine someone jumping on your stomach
hard enough to push water through your ears and eyes.  "Within minutes,
the entire body is bloated with water and the victim looked and felt
just like a bloated floating corpse.  But the torture would stop and
then jump on the bloated stomach of the victim, causing the water to
eject from the mouth, nose, ears and even eyes of the victim.  An even
more painful torture replaces the water with vinegar mixed with hot
chili sauce, and that added a stinging burning sensation as well.  For
this reason, the people of Hong Kong referred to the Japanese military
police headquarters as the Water Pump House."

And then you blindly follow along when Kennedy tries to equate THAT
water torture with the waterboarding done by the US.  Got any basis for
that at all, Bob?  

In short, Bob, you are being lied to.  You are uncritically swallowing
their lies.  Maybe you really believed what Kennedy said.  And maybe you
were even gullible enough to believe that pouring "small amounts of
water" over people's faces was REALLY the most heinous thing ever done
by the Pol Pot regime!  Good gosh, Bob, put the koolaid down and start
thinking for yourself.
