Well, no, it isn't.  There was a DNA study a couple years ago (a major US
university and one of the European centers of study of early man) that traced
mitochandrial DNA from all over the world to determine not only the
geographical origins of mankind, but to trace ancestry and how humanity spread
across the world.

Most of the experts on human ancestry and origination agree that eastern Africa
is the crucible in which proto-human species first appeared.  By tracing DNA
you can follow the spread of proto-human species out of Africa into what today
is the eastern Mediterranean, the Balkins, and the area around the Black Sea
AND out of the horn of Africa across the south end of what is now Arabia into
the Indian subcontinent and finally into what is now China and Indonesia and
Australia.  The whole process took a couple of million years.

Those early species of human were eventually replaced by more and more
human-like species in successive waves of emigration over the course of several
million years.  By the time of the last ice age, Neanderthals had spread across
southern Europe as far as Spain, France, southern Germany and Austria, the
Caucasus/Black Sea area and up across Russia all the way to Siberia.  By the
time the first pre Homo Sapiens (Cro-Magnon) came along, they were beginning to
migrate across the same range as Neanderthals, across the Bering land bridge
into North America, and into northern Europe and Briton on the heels of the
retreating glaciers.  The last great migration was of the early modern Home
Sapiens out of Siberia, down the North American Pacific coast into South
America and across both north and south America to the Atlantic.  That took
place approximately 25,000 to 18,000 years ago.  After that, the land bridge
(which also brought hundreds of species of animals into North America)
disappeared, cutting off the western hemisphere from the rest of the world.
