There's still some things you can't do with anyone but MS, but right now, for
my needs and wants, I'm doing what I need.  The only thing that I might have
some minor problems with is certain ham radio software, but that's neither here
nor there at this time.

As for figuring out OS/2, it's not for everyone.  Very few people have actually
dug deep enough to figure out its little quirks...and believe me, there's a lot
of them.  But once you get past that, OS/2's quite stable and works nicely.
Unlike other people in here, I'll freely admit that OS/2 has its limitations
and is currently running up against a major problem for some people (lack of
64-bit software and OS/2 itself), but for someone who isn't playing keep up
with the Joneses (not you), it's fine for me.

I simply don't have time to do all the manual configuration, et al, for what I
need to do under Linux.  I have a very specific need for why I run OS/2 which
is lost on some people.  Running a BBS under Linux can be very tricky,
especially playing with doors (a la DOSEMU, DOSbox, et al).  That's the primary
I've run it for so long.  It's old, but it works.  And if it works, why fix it?

My wife runs XP, but that's actually beneath her machine's capability.  She
does like the Linux games and uses a live CD for that, but I don't know if
she'd ever fully switch over to Linux.  She's very good with computers so I
leave her be with that sort of thing.  I do answer "help!" calls though. <G>
