The article refers to Bush, not Kerry, so I kept my comments to Bush.
Feel free to introduce any material that relates to Kerry.

I think you'd agree that what is commonly viewed as the "peace movement"
is largely the liberal (in the US sense) left, well-meaning church members
(palm Sunday marches etc), socialist worker alliances (etc) - at least 
when it comes to organising peace marches & rallies - i.e. "liberals".
That was my experience of the "peace movement" in Adelaide in the 1970s
and 1980s, anyway.

While the "movement" was successful in opposing the Vietnam war, seeking
an end to apartheid (anti-Springbok rallies leading to sporting isolation
of South Africa), etc etc, they have never succeeded in bringing peace
and safety to a world with so many local wars. What is needed to bring
this about is someone with the political will and clout to bring about
peace & freedom where popular movements can do no more. 

George W Bush is such a man. He believes, much as the peace movement,
in the power of liberty to transform societies, and believes that "we"
(the USA) have a duty to spread that liberty... that peace is coming
... spreading freedom and peace...

I believe, however, that events in the Middle East are leading to wars
(as well as rumours of wars), and my belief is based on the scripturs,
together with current events & prophecies that point to a time when
the world will say "peace" and "safety", but what will result is
sudden destruction, as the world seeks peace on its terms; not God's.

Once more, I do not know who the antichrist is, but a search on
Bush peace antichrist will give a fair idea as to antichrist's
"job description", if not to his identity.

I've been expecting it for about 25 years, but it is recent events,
such as the internet as a way of conducting e-commerce, e-government
etc, with the dangers of identity fraud & the need for authentication,
together with the need to guard against terrorists & other "evil doers"
that makes the "chip" attractive as a way of identifying people both
online & offline.
