And had false teeth.  But what a terrible portrait of George on
the $1 bill!  Certainly the artist could have done a better job.
Washington is shown wearing a wooden set of dentures that do not
fit well.  But Washington had other sets of dentures, some made
of ivory, that fit very well.  We should start a letter-writing
campaign to the Department of Treasury to get a new portrait
of George Washington put on the $1 bill.  A portrait that depicts
Washington as the strikingly good-looking man he was.
