Yeah, it used to be that anyone who questioned Galeleo's transformations
between moving frames of reference was thought to be a nut case.  Then this
little German Jew (neoconservative) came along and showed that Galelean
transformations only work part of the time, and that they represent a
special case of a more comprehensive way to look at things.  Einstein sort
of turned the world of physics on its ear.

Aristotle taught that heavier objects fell faster than light objects and
that each object, according to its weight, had a natural speed at which it
fell.  Because of his great respect in the eyes of the intellectual elite,
his views held sway for almost 2000 years.  Then along came Galeleo who
dropped some cannon balls off the tower.  And another one bites the dust.
Actually Galeleo  more or less destroyed Aristotle's view with a thought
experiment.  I'll let you look that one up.  It portrayed a guy who was
Aristotle's man, another who was Galeleo's man, and a third who was a
fair-minded onlooker.

The point of all this is that if you two bozos had an ounce of intellectual
honesty, you would perform experiments yourselves, and report your results.
Of course you would have the problem of thinking of some way to make your
report have credibility as you have none at this point except with each
other - which is to say, with yourself.

Of course, let me point this out to you.  If you were to do an experiment,
and your results were different from John's experience, that would not prove
that his report was not accurate.  That means that if your only goal is to
attack John, perhaps your chosen method is best.  Just laugh about it.
Shared laughter can be seen as its own reward.  However, there is the
drawback that the word "share" loses its meaning when the "individuals"
doing the sharing are identically the same person.  So, my advice to you is
that you should actually experiment only if you intellectually want to know
what is going on.  Otherwise, you are just wasting your time, much as I am
right now.
