And MY point is that there was far more of it coming from the Dem side than
from the GOP side.  The major media, which every analyst on the map has said
was clearly pro-Kerry, simply didn't report much of it coming from the GOP,
though what I saw of the ones they did report, it was in a horrified tone as if
the whole election were coming unraveled.  So, even though they WANTED to
report it, and tried to spin the hell out of the few reports they did make, it
simply wasn't there.  In fairness, the level of fraud from the Dem side was
much less than what I, personally, expected but it was nevertheless much more
than the GOP.

The whole thing goes to perceptions about what is and what isn't acceptable
behavior for winning an election.  You Dems (and a few Republicans) seem to
think that anything goes as long as its for the cause.  There was some Dem
professional campaign advisor on the news last week talking about the kinds of
dirty tricks used to steal elections.  He flat out told the GOP guy in that
interview that he had done it to us many times in the past.  Republicans like a
good political fight as much as anybody, but only when the game is played fair.
 After 2000, we can't play fair the way we want to.  We've been forced to have
an army of lawyers ready to counteract your army of lawyers.  That isn't the
way the system was meant to work.

Thankfully, this time there was a clear enough edge that it didn't come down to
six or seven "Floridas" but it could have easily enough, and that's pretty damn
sad if you ask me.  So, you can't justify it with "we can do it because the
other guy does it, too." We sat back and watched you guys pull this stuff for
50 years and finally had enough.

Now, if the DNC wants to remain a viable political party, it will have to get
its act together and start putting "win with truth and integrity" ahead of "do
whatever it takes to win, even if its illegal."
