There is a restrainer, who restricts the mystery of iniquity from 
running its full course, until he be taken away, and the man of sin be
revealed. The restrainer is widely understood to be the Holy Spirit,
acting through the Church, until the Rapture.

The USA has embarked on a course that is causing it to turn away from
the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where salvation and eternal life are freely
offered, to a counterfeit, based on legalism, works, law-keeping. This
will suit the "conservatives" in this echo, who hold that it is possible
for people to be saved by their own works.

The USA issues proclamations and laws honoring the Lubavitcher Rebbe
(the late Rabbi Menachem Schneerson) and calls for reflection on the
"eternal validity of the Seven Noahide Laws" etc.

While US Presidents, including Reagan, Bush 1 & Bush 2, (and possibly
Clinton & others), praise the Lubavitcher Rebbe & honor him with "days
of reflection" and the like, he encouraged the "abandonment of
Christianity" ... Christians being ruled as "idol worshippers".

The USA, and the world in general, abandons Jesus Christ (the true Messiah)
in favour of the Noachide Moshiach at its peril. You have little to fear
from the likes of Osama bin Laden, compared to the consequences of turning
against God.

One shining example for people of all faiths of what education ought to be is
that provided by the Lubavitch movement, headed by Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, a
worldwide spiritual leader who will celebrate his 80th birthday on April 4,
1982. The Lubavitcher Rebbe's work stands as a reminder that knowledge is an
unworthy goal unless it is accompanied by moral and spiritual wisdom and
understanding. He has provided a vivid example of the eternal validity of the
Seven Noahide Laws, a moral code for all of us regardless of religious faith.
May he go from strength to strength.

In recognition of the Lubavitcher Rebbe's 80th birthday, the Senate and the
House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled have issued
House Joint Resolution 447 to set aside April 4, 1982, as a "National Day of
Reflection."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RONALD REAGAN, President of the United States of America, do
hereby proclaim April 4, 1982, as National Day of Reflection.

Great teachers are also found outside the classroom, making a positive
impact on children and on local families. For example, Rabbi Menachem
Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, demonstrated the power of
teaching others to pursue both intellectual and moral excellence.

For this purpose, he established education and outreach centers that
offered social services and humanitarian aid. Today, more than 1,400
of these centers operate in 35 countries, meeting the spiritual and
material needs of local communities.

These beacons of hope communicate the Rebbe's ideal of living a
meaningful life through personal responsibility and dedication to
those in need.

On the 100th anniversary of the Rebbe's birth, I encourage Americans
to help teach our young people. In classrooms, homes, and places of
worship, we can all make a lasting impact on individual children and
thus invest in our country as a whole.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of
America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution
and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 24, 2002, as
Education and Sharing Day, U.S.A., 2002.
