That's what I would *hope* would happen but I don't expect it.  
France has *never* been our friend (the Statue of Liberty 
donation was probably a mistake).  Yet we've always helped them.  
Even during our Revolutionary War the French didn't really act to 
help *us*.  They were in the midst of one of their frequent wars 
with England and were using the American Revolution to attack the 
British.

As I said, I *hope* we don't help them, but considering our past 
history WRT helping France I'm not very hopeful.
