FS> BF> I heard yesterday that Donald Rumsfelt is in deep trouble.
 FS>
 FS> I think you heard wrong ...

The MSM is abuzz with nonsense about how Rumsfeldt isn't liked by the troops.
That, of course, isn't true. The majority of the troops back him 100%.

The soldier who asked the question concerning armor for vehicles was a plant. A
reporter coached him on the question and talked the guy with the microphone
into
going to him.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that Bjorn has bought into the MSM's nonsense.

FS> BF> The US. troop in Iraq aren't pleased with him. They aren't
FS> BF> well-equiped enough to do their job.
 FS>
FS> That was one soldier who complained. Furthermore he was from
FS> either a reserve or National Guard unit. They *typically* don't
 FS> have the best equipment.

The soldier was from a National Guard unit. He was in Kuwait waiting to be
called
into Iraq. The question is disengenuous at best. More armor does not
necessarily
mean better.

FS> BF> His answer was:" You go to war with the army you have
FS> BF> and not with the one you would like to have". What does that tell the
FS> BF> rest of the world?
 FS>
FS> It tells the world that we do what we *must* do and do the best
FS> we can with the military equipment we have. There is *never* a
FS> perfect time to go to war. In this case the belief was that
FS> Saddam posed a real threat and we *had* to neutralize him. It
FS> turned out he wasn't as great a threat as was thought but
FS> *ironically* he *tried* to give the impression he was immediately
FS> dangerous and it was that which brought him down.

There is something much better in the works. Humvees usually don't have much
armor
because they are a light attack vehicle. The Humvees that the NG units have are
really not much different than those the RA has.

 FS> BF> Where are all the Rambo:s?
 FS>
 FS> I don't know ... do you?

Bjorn has no earthly clue what the US is all about. All he knows is what he's
seen on the silver screen.

FS> BF> 8 of them are facing a court martial for not obeying order since
their
FS> BF> vehicle wan't safe enough to travel in.
 FS>
FS> You leave out the most significant feature of that namely that
FS> when they refused another eight took identical equipment and did
FS> what was ordered with no problems whatsoever. Furthermore what
FS> military can stand if its soldiers refuse to obey orders?

The vehicles were safe enough. The soldiers who did take them out had no
problems.

FS> BF> 5 are sueing USA for not letting them go home after fulfilment of
 FS> BF> their contract.
 FS>
FS> And their chances are considered *zero*! I can understand their
FS> frustration as *I*, too, would be frustrated to be in Iraq longer
FS> than originally intended. However I was frustrated being in the
FS> Army during WWII, but just "sucked it up" as they say. Our
FS> modern generation doesn't seem to be willing to sacrifice for a
 FS> worthy goal.

They can sue all they want, but they did sign contracts that stated that their
term of service was subject to whether they were in the middle of a conflict
at the end of their term.

FS> BF> But I guess that someone of you will say that this is also
 FS> BF> anti-American propaganda
 FS>
FS> It is when you don't tell the *whole* story ...

And the MSM doesn't tell the whole story.

FS> BF> and have never happend since it was only on TV and said by a corrupt
FS> BF> Minister that doesn't know a thing about it and the fact that I just
 FS> BF> can't prove it.......and hey,
 FS>
FS> Huh? What are you talking about. What you've mentioned was
FS> widely broadcast on the Fox News Channel.

He's reduced to babbling nonsense.

FS> BF> Rumsfelt wasn't even in Kuwait. That was an illution.
 FS>
 FS> Huh?

See?

FS> BF> And now there are 1,000 dead American soldiers in combat in Iraq and
if we should
FS> BF> put it all togheter, including accidents and suecide the official
figure is 75.
 FS> BF> Wounded are 9,765.
FS> BF> The number of dead Iraqi various but is well over 14,000 and 5,000
soldiers.
FS> BF> May I ask if someone of you have lost anyone in Iraq?

 FS> I don't even *know* anyone over there ...

He doesn't know anything past what he hears in the MSM.

FS> BF> If you have, do you still think it's worth it?
 FS>
FS> We must defend ourselves. George W. Bush is doing the proper
FS> thing. Just as we defended ourselves successfully against the
FS> Germans and Japs during WWII.

Bjron thinks it would be a good thing if Saddam were still in power.
