BF>> Still, you send soldiers to a war who aren't fully equipted wheter they
BF>> are reserve or National Guard.

FS> Commanders do what they think best ... I have never commanded any troops
FS> ... thus asking *me* about this is a waste of time for both of us ...

BF> And sometimes even this Commanders makes misstakes.
BF> Not even they arre foolproof.

Of course everyone makes mistakes ... that's human nature ...

BF>> It tells ME you are jeopardizing the lives of your own soldiers.

FS> It doesn't tell *me* at all, since the safety of our entire nation of
FS> about 300 million people is more important than the safety of a few
FS> soldiers. After all, *each* of those soldier is a volunteer.

BF> Now all of a sudden they are "disposable"?

I wouldn't put it *that* way. Non-human things are disposable,
humans *never* are ... my point was that each and every one of
those soldiers *volunteered* for the job. The function of our
army is to protect our nation, hence they *volunteered* to get in
harms way if that was called for.

BF> How can a war in Iraq be threatning to 300 million people in USA so
BF> you now can say this? Regardless if they are volunteers or not.

I think we've gone through this before: Brief summary -- five
nations told GWBush that Saddam had WMDs. He wouldn't *dare* use
them directly against us for we'd demolish his nation if he did.
What he *would* do would be to give terrorists such weapons to
use against us. He could always deny knowing anything about it.
Don't forget, he was paying every Palestinian family who produced
a suicide/bomber against Israel $25,000.

BF>> mmmmm....... where the rest of USA should be...... in Hollywood.

 FS> Huh?

BF> It was ment as some sort of a joke just as the war in Iraq somehow
BF> have been and I'm thinking of about the WMD:s if you undersatand me
 BF> right.

BF>> Can they be seeing it from my poit of wiew?
BF>> Nothing is worth to sacrifice my life for.

FS> *Nothing*? I cannot believe that. *Everyone* has *some* high
FS> values -- aside from his own neck. *I* would certainly die for the U.S.A.
FS> if called upon to do so.

BF> My own neck IS what I value the most. I would never ever go to a war
BF> if Sweden told me to do so but I would defend myself if anyone should
BF> come here. That's the way we are brought up and nothing could ever
BF> change that, I would rather go to prison then kill someone in another
BF> country that haven't done anything to me. I hope you can understand
BF> that in the same way I can understand why you are in Iraq.

If you've been brought up to think that way it's understandable
that your attitude is what it is. Americans are brought up --
well *my* generation was -- to support this nation. That
includes volunteering for the armed forces to defend the nation.

BF>>> But I guess that someone of you will say that this is also anti-American
 BF>>> propaganda

FS>> It is when you don't tell the *whole* story ...

BF>> Neither you or I know the whole story.

FS> But you told only part of it. You *knew* the rest.

BF> No, I didn't but I do now thanks to you.

OK ...

BF>> What I said about Laila Freiwalds and N379P was widely broadcasted on the
BF>> Swedish news that's also available via sattelite here in Europea and no
 BF>> one listned to that.

FS> We've gone through that and ended it I thought.

BF> When we can end the talk about WWII I'm willing to do so.

OK ...

BF>>> Rumsfelt wasn't even in Kuwait. That was an illution.

 FS>> Huh?

BF>> Just like Laila Freiwalds, remember....

 FS> No, I don't ...

 BF> Short memmory?

I cannot *remember* seeing her when I've never seen her ...

BF>>> May I ask if someone of you have lost anyone in Iraq?

 FS>> I don't even *know* anyone over there ...

BF>> Guess that that makes it easy for you.

FS> If it makes it easy for me to be objective about protecting America,
FS> that's *always* been the case with me. I don't operate on an emotional
 FS> basis.

BF> You don't think that your enemy sees it the same way?

I am no expert WRT the thoughts of terrorists. In fact I'm
certain they and I think along different lines. I could *never*
deliberately kill innocent civilians as they can, for one thing.
I've never killed anyone and if I ever did it would be to defend
myself.

BF> If you all wouldn't, perhaps this world would be a better place.....?

It certainly would be a better place if all the terrorists would
suddenly become civilized.

BF>> Actually, there wasn't any real threat against US soil (excep from Pearl
 BF>> Harbour) so
BF>> you did then and are doing now is to fight on enemy soil and that isn't
 BF>> exactly what
BF>> I call to defend one self, if you get what I mean.

FS> That's the best place to fight a defensive war -- in the enemy's soil!!

BF> I understand that but then do as I have said before, do it for the
 BF> right reason
BF> and in the right country, then I don't think that the world-opinion
 BF> should be against you.

As you should know, GWBush had good evidence that invading Iraq
*was* the proper thing to do ... as for world opinion, that's the
world's problem not ours.

... A journey of a thousand miles starts where the feet are.
