As the battlegroup stands today, its costing them 2.4 million dollars a day to
operate there.

We are pulling ships away from other areas as well to deal with the disaster,
even to the point of causing us to be short handed if North Korea gets frisky.

Right now there are 13,000 personnel, 21 ships and 121 aircraft are taking part
in rescues and supply drops in Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
There are 1,400 US military personnel on shore. We have 42 helos there now and
will be doubling the number in a matter of days. They are proving critical.

We are over there right now, in the mud with our sleeves rolled up saving lives
with more on the way.

I don't think we have one thing to be ashamed of.
