America IS apathetic when it comes to doing its civil and patriotic duty. This
last election may have been the biggest ever in terms of votes for president,
but it still didn't beat what the Iraqis did turnout wise. I think its pretty
damn pathetic when a country like Iraq turns in a better percentage of voters
than the best the US has ever done, and on their first time out of the box!

And, it matters not one whit how many people you know who voted. The number is
statistically insignificant. I know more people who DIDN'T vote than did.
Doesn't prove a thing either way in either case.

DP> It's wonderful that the Iraqi's are able to vote. We'll see how
 DP> it turns out.

Yeah, right. We can all tell from your tone that you don't think it WILL turn
out for the better. And when things get dicey, you'll turn around and post
something saying "See, I told you so. The Iraqi vote was a waste of time." or
something along those lines. And if turns out to be a rousing success, we
won't hear diddly from you saying "good job" or something similar.
