I was pleased with the measured and astute delivery; with no signs
of the stumbleing and bungleing speach often displayed on TV and
news rebroadcasts during the campaign (lending credulousness to my
earlier opinion that such obvious faux pas were emulated to suggest
to the "common man" voter that he was one of them and could be trusted
more than the rather stiff North Easterner, "flip-flopper" Democratic
candidate 8-(.

I have heard enough of these orations to conclude that our "founding
fathers" did a rather good job of provideing US with a form of
government that manages to do more good than harm, despite much of
what may be said otherwise (e.g. the stew is cooked well without
being burned, as some wise soul once remarked 8-).

Its a Oldsmobile (no longer made by GM because its "my father's car"
that no longer appeals to the younger buyers 8-) made in a good Union
factory 11 long years ago. My diagnosis pointed to the electronic
theft addon draining excessive current for unknown reason. I have
disabled it until more favorable weather returns and I am not too
occuppied with my tomato gardening and/or other suitable excuses
to put off further trouble shooting.

A glass of fine Rhine is my limit at the late afternoon waiting
for our evening repast now (especially since there hasn't been any
NHL (National Hockey League (that actually includes several Canadian
teams of course 8-) hockey games this year; because the owners didn't
want to lose another 36 million $$$$

Have you seen a Telivision
Documentry from Franc HC>in English called "On Gods Right"?, it is a
documentry on The Rise of The HC>Religous Right in The United States and
what it means with interviews with s HC>idols of that community such as
Pat Robertson and explanations of there HC>philosophy's.

Fortunately I missed that (and shall hopefully continue to do so !-)

Sounds kinda like we and Canada (after we got over The War of 1812)
Not meantioned in most history books: after the American Revolution
about 40% of the Colonists couldn't really live without the Crown
and left; with many resettleing in Canada (making it much easier for
we genealogists a good deal of our time researching many early familys
hereabout)

BTW I wonder if you may have any Scotish heritage? I also wonder if
you may have seen a BBC-PBS TV series, "Monarch of the Glen" ?
I find the brogue more than a bit difficult at times, but the tale
is a fair-dinkum soap-opera I can enjoy most ot the time.
