  I have articulated the transparency of this Op'Ed piece very clearly.

They claim:

    "In fact, none of the methods contained in the current 
     Army manual on interrogation have ever been scientifically 
     tested for effectiveness."

  This assumes that all other interrogators that have gone before 
them are morons and that no one has kept records of what works and 
doesn't work.  Very stupid of them to make such bald face
generalizations about so many people.



  They they go on to tell you what does work:

    "Widely employed tactics like “fear-up harsh,ö which is meant 
    to scare a person into answering questions, or “pride and ego 
    down,ö which uses humiliation to try to overcome a person’s 
    resistance, are actually counterproductive..."


   Then they really show their political bias with this statement:

      "The president’s new panel has a fresh opportunity to 
      solve these problems. The group should include experienced 
      interrogators and policymakers who recognize the need 
      to examine longstanding interrogation methods objectively."

   This assumes that we have a bunch of rookies on the job who don't have
a wealth of info at their disposal and that as soon as Obama's people come 
along all will be better.

    The piece was obviously written for partisan hacks and the Mary 
Poppins crowd.  The title alone reveals this:

              'Try a Little Tenderness'

     If this is their approach to dealing with terrorists and enemy 
combatants, and other hardened people with murder in their hearts,
and given their experience, they must have been bought off and/or 
pressured (ie.with their termination, fired) to make such a goo-goo
public relations statement such as this.  Now you will pardon me for
seeking a second opinion about these two characters.

    Again, there are just too many gaping holes in their spurious 
opinion piece.  One that slights the entire intelligence community that 
has gone before them, and one that obviously sucks up to the Obama camp.
This is nothing but a (not so well) veiled attempt at 'Get Bush'.
