Ärende: USS Liberty My new theory

 Not even close to true. It wasn't one pilot, it was repeated
 flights. It was after repeated recon flights. It was torpedo
 boats.

 No, it's not stupid. Finding fault is necessary in judging who
 should be removed from command and who should be put in command.
 Blame does attach to criminal acts. A rapist in the military is
 still a rapist. The reason the military opposed torture of Al
 Qaeda prisoners was not because they are softies, but because
 they recognize, what you do to others, others can justify doing
 to you. Al Qaeda may not recognize it, but Russia would, as
 would a lot of other countries.

 Which is why the criminal investigation of CIA torture is the
 right thing to do.

 Remember, one man was executed for desertion in WW2, Prvt
 Slovick. But he was buried with others who were executed for
 other crimes. Crimes in the military are still crimes. And an
 illegal order is one order we were taught in basic training we
 could disobey. Of course we had better be right...

 The military can and will try people for murder during wartime.
 Look at those soldiers who raped that girl and murdered her
 family.

 The attack on the Liberty was not in the middle of battle, it
 was out at sea, all quiet, with hours that the Israeli AF spent
 flying by and exchanging waves with the crew.
