I wasn't.  You said that the federal government has no place in publicly
funded education and he said that public education preceded the federal
government by 150 years (which is a stretch, 100 maybe).  The statements
seem to agree, which surprised me since I didn't think you two could agree
on the color of the sky.

And I have no problem with any of this.

Some could argue, however, about just what education the public schools
should be required to provide.  AFAIC, reading, writing, math and history
should be about it.  Others will argue that all sorts of other subjects must
be included.
