Hello Everybody,

There are 50 states in the USA.
Each state is represented by 2 Senators in the Congress,
for a total of 100 Senators in the U.S. Senate.
Each state is guaranteed at least 1 Representative in the Congress.
The limitation for total number of Representatives in the Congress
is 435, with the understanding that each state must be allowed at
least 1 Representative.

There are 3,143 counties in the USA.
There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution stipulating how many
states there should be in the USA.
There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution saying that counties
cannot declare themselves as states.
With each county in the USA declaring itself as a separate
state, the USA would have 3,143 states.
Each state would be represented by 2 Senators in the Congress,
for a total of 6286 Senators in the U.S. Senate.
Each state would be guaranteed at least 1 Representative in the
Congress, leaving a total number of at least 3,143 Representatives
in the Congress.

Taken a step further, there are 40 independent cities in Virginia.
So why limit the size of states to counties?  Each city in the USA
can declare itself a state.  How many cities are there in the USA?
I'm not really sure.  Only that there are plenty more cities than
there are counties.

Let's put the number of cities at 100,000.  That would increase
the number of U.S. Senators to 200,000, with a minimum of 100,000
U.S. Representatives.

But that is a very low number, being on the conservative side.

Of course, spreading democracy is the goal of all Americans.
The ultimate goal is for each and every American to be his/her
own state.  With 300,000,000 Americans today, that would increase
the Congress to 600,000,000 U.S. Senators, with a minimum of
300,000,000 U.S. Representatives.

Being that we would not have enough people to serve as U.S. Senators,
we would have to import people from elsewhere to serve as U.S. Senators.
As such, we should start with our neighbors from Canada and Mexico,
expanding to include our neighbors from Latin America, Europe, Asia,
Africa, Australia, ...
