Tim, one of my sisters is a nurse, and has been so for 20+ years.

She saw first hand, doctors either drunk, incompetent or stoned.
If she even *DARED* tried to report any of those doctors, her career would have

been finished.

Ok Tim, if any of those quacks operated on you, or misdiagnosed what is ailing 
you, even if you survived, you'd most likely be maimed for life.

So what can you do against them?
Easy answer, sue them for malpractice.
Using "trial lawyers."

But I have no doubt, you'll bring up peer review boards.
Tim, the state in the US that has most physicians, is Texas.
And Texas is really not an exception.

In the past 20 years, you know how many quacks in Texas have lost their 
liscenses?
Three.

There are doctors serving years for RAPE in Texas, of their patients.
The medical board in that state has let them keep his liscenses.

As to myself, an emergency room doctor, said that a very sore shoulder, (I fell

on the ice,) was just a bruise.
I went to another emergency room, after my shoulder became far more sore. That 
emergency room took x-rays of my shoulder.
Which the first one refused to do.

Turned out I had a BROKEN shoulder.

Using the records from the second ER, I threatened the first one with 
malpractice.

The quack who called my broken shoulder "bruised" was fired, (mostly due to 
other malpractice on her part,) and has since left the country.

The first ER settled, for a resonable amount.

And this was over 20 years ago.

I've accepted the fact, that your wife died.
(SURPRISE!!!)

What would you do if you found out that your wife died due to a quack?
Just let the quack off the hook?

George Bush, and his cronies want to let quacks off the hook.
When he appeared with an OB-GYN, turns out that doctor was absolutely 
incompetent, and had settled out of court for lots of $$$.

Why is Bush wanting to limit malpractice?
Easy answer: Bribes...I mean campaign contributions.
