Your erroneous attempt to stir up phony outrage, that is typically a Sauer

Once an artist releases his works out to the public, the only thing that artist
is owed is the royalties and fee's.. You and I are exempt because we paid the
royalty (included in price) when we bought the CD or downloaded the song file
from a legal site. (Napster, Zune Market Place, ITunes et al)

Now can you show where McCain has not paid the fee's?

The artists are complaining because they do take the usage of their song as an
endorsement, however, that is neither here nor there, after all, the artists
cannot dictate which radio stations or retail stores or office buildings can
play their music so long as the appropriate licensing fee's are paid.

You ever stopped to look at a jukebox, like at an old fashioned Pizza Joint.. I
used to frequent a Pizza PArlor called Shakeys, I understand that they were
more prevelant on the west coast, so perhaps you have been in one? They had a
Jukebox where a quarter gave you 2 or 3 songs, the artists got a piece of that
quarter.

The Company I work for uses a Bachman Turner Overdrive song as part of its
slogan and branding, a licensing fee was paid.

If the fee's are paid, John Williams/George Lucas cannot demand the stadiums
cease and desist, simply because they might in theory detest a violent sport
such as football.

If the fee's are not paid, that is another story.

and a fee is only required for that music the artists retains the rights to,
some artists totally release their works to the public. Again another story.

Therefore you and Sauer are trying to be alarmist about something you know
nothing about.

Briefly looking, majority of Presidential Campaigns going back to #1, have had
music associated with them, albeit some of the tumes were written for the
candidate, but in the 20th century, existing tunes were used..

You are pretty desparate in order to try to find illegality where none exist
and you sucked in the expert from Sheboyghan with you.
