I'm not surprised that you see it that way.  After all you have already
admitted that you are a big fan of from each according to their ability to
each according to their needs.
 Besides it was you that claimed the first example was fair not me. It was
you that made up the each pay 33 cents.
They apparently chose to pay that way. They could have just as easily paid
the way you claim is fair in your second example, which BTW, is exactly what
the Fair Tax would do.
 Under the fair tax the more you spend the more you pay. That is the point
you are tring to make isn't it?

It is not the fault of the government if a person is incapable of making
more money.
Are you suggesting the government should make sure everyone gets paid the
same?
Let's face it Dan, by the way you talk, you will not be happy until "the
Rich" pay every thing and losers pay nothing.
The only way I could ever go along with that if the losers had no say in how
the money was spent. Pass into law a bill that simply said if you don't pay
in more that you get back
you don't vote; that would be fair. IMO
