    'Evacuation of prisoners'?   What the hell is this?   We're
discussing treatment of prisoners who are already confined.  Did you
even read it 'thoroughly'?  Didn't see anything about a blanket.

   No legal right.  It's against the law to punch someone who walks up
to your wife and calls her a 'xxxxx' but it is morally right if you were
to haul off and punch his nose flat.  Only some sanctimonious assh_le
would ever try to hold that against you.  Click?  Nah, didn't think so.
I have to remind myself that I am debating with someone who is up in
arms over a POW losing his blanket.

   If they were tied up there must have been a good reason.  If they
were tied up, and punched out, there must have been a good reason.
You can continue to believe these things occur in a vacuum for no reason
whatsoever.  I will give them the benefit of the doubt, Geneva convention
or no Geneva convention.  Seems you're no different than a lot of Bible
thumpers or Koran fanatics who will damn you all the way to hell if you 
don't follow their pet doctrine to the letter.

    How do you know they didn't try to do that in the first place before
things really got out of hand?   You don't, but you'll judge these guys
from your arm chair nonetheless.
