 Iraq was never a major player in terror. Before the invasion of
 Kuwait Saddam was a friend to Reagan/Bush I. Bush's ambassador
 to Iraq gave Saddam what he considered clearance to attack
 Kuwait when she told Saddam the US was not concerned with the
 situations between Iraq and Kuwait. When the Bush administration
 tried to deny it Saddam released a video of her saying it. Which
 is why Joe Wilson was running the embassy in Iraq when the
 embassy was evacuated, the ambassador had been removed. Saddam
 felt he had been betrayed, again, by the US when Bush turned
 against him. Until then Iraq was not only no threat to the US,
 but a friend to the Reagan/Bush administrations. Iraq ceased to
 be any real threat to the US or US interests after Clinton hit
 them with cruise missiles, and convinced Saddam that he would
 reataliate.

 Saudi Arabia has been the major financier and home base of the
 primary purveyors of anti-infidel hate, Wahabi Islam, all along.
 Yet no one has punished them.

 Iran was a major player in terror in the '80s, yet Reagan/Bush I
 did not punish them. Instead they sold Iran anti-tank missiles,
 which were used against a US ally, Iraq, who had invaded Iran.
 That was a trade for hostages, which was itslef a violation of
 basic principle of never paying off terrorists. When the
 hostages were not released Reagan never punished Iran for
 welching.

 Anti-Castro Cuban terrorists were leaders in terror, including
 being the first to ever blow up an airliner in flight. Yet the
 US not only didn't make war on anti-Castro Cuban terrorists, but
 even today is the home of several of their leaders, the Bin
 Ladens of the old Cuban terror movement.

 The Clinton anti-terrorism team turned over the evidence of Al
 Qaeda responsibility for the Cole attack, and a plan to
 retaliate against Al Qaeda and the Taliban, to the Bush
 administration during the transition. Bush blew it off as old
 news.

 The invasion of Iraq was planned by many Bush administration
 neo-cons long before Bush was even elected to office. The
 Project for a New American Century considered that a linchpin of
 their strategy to break OPEC. Big oil was opposed to breaking
 OPEC, and the Bush administration was more Big Oil than Neo-con,
 so that part failed. Within the day of the 9-11 attacks Rumsfeld
 was trying to tie it to Iraq. Bush was told immediately, by his
 anti-terrorism officials, that Iraq was not involved.

 Condi Rice lied twice involving major factors in the leadup to
 the invasion. Early on she lied about Richard Clarke's statement
 that he had told Bush Iraq was not involved. She claimed the
 meeting didn't happen. Whitehouse records showed it did. Rice
 lied when she said she was not informed the claims about Iraq
 negotiating a deal to buy Uranium from Niger, and the original
 claim was just that. Three seperate sources reported the claim
 was false, Joe Wilson was the third, the first was Bush's own
 ambassador to Niger, the second was a Marine Lt.General who was
 in Niger and was asked by the Ambassador to further verify the
 claims. The deputy director of the CIA reported she informed
 Rice the claimes were not reliable in Oct 2002, well before the
 State of the Union Speech. That report was declassified
 recently.

 The invasion of Iraq was not a part of any worldwide war on
 terror, it was a war for oil and votes.
