Loved the newsreel. This has been done before in other shows and
movies, but that doesn't take away from how good it was.

Manny Coto said in an interview that he wanted to return Enterprise to
being a true prequel to Classic Trek. However, he was handed a season
cliffhanger he didn't want. So I think he deliberately rushed the
entire temporal cold war into a quick and dirty two-parter that was
somewhat entertaining to watch but in every real respect a complete
letdown. But I'm just glad the temporal cold war is over and done
with. And as for the third season being "sensational", I thought it was
mostly terrible. The whole idea fell apart for me right at the
beginning. Why did they choose to have their prototype test on Earth?
Why warn humanity at all? It all went downhill from there. Humanity
should be toast.

Well, I was hopeful for a major temporal reset switch, where most of
what happened during the first three seasons didn't, but it doesn't look
like it's going to happen.

Cheers, Harry
