One thing you can say in favor of the Russians, they certainly made
aesthetic improvements in their ZIL-110 over the original Packards. But
then again, they also built a ZIL-130, which is a very good copy of the
Dodge trucks of the 1950/60s. Uglier than sin. If you're going to compete
with the best, you might as well take advantage of the competition's
products. Not that I like Dodge trucks, but you can't have the best of
everything. Although this site is in Russian, you can see the resemblance
at http://zil130.com/ ... I used a text translator and what they're saying
about their products is the usual 'buy our trucks' bantor used in the US
too.

Could have been the poor quality of the ad or the camaras available during
the years of the Univac lookalike in Russia.
