no, that's the purpose of running cleanup... to remove the files from the
disk... if you look close, you'll note that it will empty the recycle bin if
you check it to be done...

then don't store things in the temp folder(s)... definitely don't try to store
things in the recycle bin as it is self purging based on size...

IE is the only browser that cleanup will clean the cache for... i'll also point
out that both IE and cleanup will only clean up what is listed in the cache's
index.dat file... IE has a bad problem with removing files from the index.dat
and leaving them behind on the drive and loosing them in this fashion... i've
shown this to folk many times by cleaning the cache from within IE and via
cleanup and then using a DOS tool like LIST.COM to go into those directories
that make up the cache and showing them the hundreds or thousands of files left
behind... it is for this reason that i sometimes implement a cleanup routine
that runs in autoexec.bat... the routine is basically a deltree of the cache
directory which IE or windows recreates upon loading... it can't be done while
win9x is operating, though...
