Ärende: splitting mp3s

Hello, Charles!

Yes.. the endtime material is quite large.  I'll be able to get them
tomorrow when I work on a DSL-equipped pc.  Did you know that Audacity has a
"split" function from the menu: "Edit / Split" ???

Did you also know that most DVD players can play .MP3 and .WMA files
directly?  Unless you really need to use a standard Audio CD Player, why not
consider a DVD player?  If these audio files where meant for you while
driving.. I understand then.

You might be better off with a util that is dedicated to splitting audio
files, such as:

That one is amazing fast.  Took two seconds to split one 64meg "mp3 album" I
had.  You just set the maximum time (in seconds) for the "first" split, and
it creates serialized files of the remaining time.  Very fast.  Much easier
to use than Audacity or Goldwave for this task!  This one doesn't mess with
the Registry either.. it just runs as is.  This one is a keeper for me.

Simple interface but full-featured audio-editin abilities... but also very
awkward to use, I find.  I couldn't figure out how to split a file into
equal segments.
