 Considering that the OS doesn't come equipped with a full scale word
 processor, you might find some lack of document format support
 justifiable.

 When you consider Alan's suggestion OTOH, of a live Linux CD to
 perform non-destructive disk partitioning (Gparted, etc.), you
 quickly see what Linux has that Microsoft doesn't.

 Of course, JP has been content to rely on Win98 DOS boot floppies,
 that can't read NTFS, rather than try a Linux bootable CD, or even
 Bart's PE.  Someone with that degree of patience is understandably
 not likely to be too critical of Microsoft. ;-)  Besides, his daughter
 is their employee and his benefactor. :-)
