You buy your Thinkpads on eBay... you might want to (just for fun) check for
Powerbooks (G4 models only) or G4 iBooks on eBay and see what sort of prices
they go for. You can pay $4000 for a new Thinkpad, too.

The virus-issue is partly the responsibility of the user and partly of the
writers of the OS. Microsoft made it easy for viruses to have access to the
inner-workings of the OS and to access the contents of the Outlook/Outlook
Express address books.

Thanks for reminding me... I was having problems getting a couple of systems
working when I swapped the NICs... I should try resetting the router!
