A straight copy of files does not work.  I think if you allowed 
NERO to make it bootable it might work, but don't hold me 
to that.  

BART should give you the option of copying the ISO to disk.  
That process is what makes the CD bootable.  What BART creates 
is not a mere folder of files.  It creates an ISO image.  

A straight copy of that image doesn't work.  The copy program 
needs to burn the image onto the disc as if the inage is then 
the disk.  It's sort of a disc to disc copy but without the 
original disc.  That original is the ISO file.  

There's free utility for burning ISO images for XP.  It works 
quite nicely!  Another useful program is an ISO editor.  I 
used one to modify the ISO file I created from my XP disc.  
The modifications I made to the original ISO were necessary 
to allow me to boot XP from my USB drive.  I had to change 
some parameters in the boot(ing) files as well as add a file 
that was not part of the original disk.  

BTW, you can see what files are in an ISO with WinRAR.  You 
can even extract individual programs.  However, you cannot 
add/modify those files with WinRar.
