Note that you can pick and choose amongst what you download-- initially
you download a small file which then downloads and installs the pieces
that you selected. In all cases, you also get a Google Update utility
which checks for updates in the background-- by default, for all the
various programs. (You can change that in the preferences, or simply
uninstall it without affecting the rest of the Pack).

At my school, I installed only the Photos Screensaver-- which is a very
nice add-on; Vista, Mac OS X, and most Linux distributions include an
option to use selected photos as the screensaver. XP does not, making
this useful.

I've also tested the Norton and Spyware Doctor programs; the Spyware
Doctor one seems especially useful-- finding on my test system a number
of items missed by both MS Windows Defender and the Norton Security Scan.

Note: Google Pack is XP/Vista only. Even though many of the included
applications will work on other OS versions, the Google Pack installer
won't run.
