Fun? I have 70 140 slide carousels (that's 9800 slides!) from slide
programs given to me by a deceased friend's son. These slides are
travelogs programs of his travels (the friends) all over the world.
I also have the audio tapes and audio amp/speakers to go along with
them. I also have the necessary carousel projectors.

However, rather than lug all that stuff (4 carousels, two slide
projectors, tape player and amplifier, etc) around to present his
programs at our Lions Field Senior Center and several assisted living
institutions here in town just think how much easier it would be to
carry a laptop and a digital projector and a tape player/amplifier.

Oh yes, I forgot the screen!

I still have to work out all the details but it will happen - I hope.

Commercial scanning of these slides will maintain the needed quality and
save me more time than I may have left on this old earth. I have already
had some scanned and digitally projected. The quality is quite good.

Oh yes, I forgot. I am also in the process of rebuilding my sons PC -
They allowed the two grandsons on it and it is screwed up (viruses and
otherwise) beyond normal repairing.

Also have my elderly friend's (in an assisted living home) totally
defunct computer to replace - It was an early 90s model. Windows 98SE.

Want a job down here for this upcoming winter? Nice and warm here. :-)
