    Responding to a post in the WINDOWS area:

I think that is very probable.  There is likely a related index file for
the Favorite.htm file and any messing with the .htm will throw the index
out of order..... ?

As soon as I deleted the Favorite.htm file, all GPF notifications stopped.

I thought that I had the temp directory thingie in hand, but you're correct
about programs looking for C:\Windows\Temp -- I forgot all about that.  I
may as well make a C:\Windows\Temp and then take a look at what lands in
it.

Hey, I'm running Windows for Workgroup v3.11 here -- speed has never been
an issue with me; I'm just happy to have it run.  <g>

Seriously, I set the batch file up to take out the trash whenever I shut
down Windows.
